Shannon, who is of Aboriginal descent, is regarded as one of the first true pioneers of wakeboard. From those years back in the early 1990’s when he moved to the USA to train and compete, Shannon’s flare and ambition saw him invent an entirely new trick called the SBend which became standard in the sport of wakeboard and eventually kite board. He has amassed over 10 years of success in wakeboard and was one of Australia’s first true professional wakeboarders.
