Emma Sheers, a former World number 1 in both Jump and Slalom, achieved personal bests of 4 1/2 buoys at the 10.75 metre line in Slalom and a remarkable 55.3 metres in Jump. Throughout her career, she set five World Jump Records, including 48.2m at Sunset Lakes, USA in 1996, and 55.3m at Malibu Open, California, USA in 2002. She claimed two Junior World Jump titles and broke records like the 47.8m jump at the 1999 World Championships and the 3.25@10.75m slalom at the 2001 World Championships. With over 90 professional victories, Emma is a 17-time National Champion (Open Division) and holds 28 National Records. Recognised globally, she was named International Waterski Federation Athlete of the Year in 2003 and 2005, and won the 2004 Australian Sports Award for Individual Achievement. Inducted into the Sunshine Coast Hall of Fame in 2009 and the QLD Sports Hall of Fame in 2017, Emma served on the International Waterski Federation Board and was President of Waterski QLD for three years.
